Background. The final route of the 2020 dakar rally, which will start in jeddah and conclude 12 stages later near the saudi capital of riyadh, has been announced. The world's toughest & biggest rally.
It was the second time saudi arabia had hosted the event.
The rally will begin on january 5th, setting off from jeddah and then finishing in qiddiya on january 17th. The change in continent will also come with rule changes in an effort to even the playing field among professional and amateur racers alike. It was also great seeing those big kamaz trucks rule the dakar trucks class again. The 2020 dakar rally was the 42nd edition of the event and the first edition held in saudi arabia.
